ISO 9001:2015 STANDARD AWARENESS WORKSHOP

ISO or International Organization for Standardization is one of the most influential initiatives that grew from 1980s in other countries and one of the most frequently implemented strategies concerning quality amongst companies across the world.
The Quality Assurance Center conducted awareness seminar last July 31, 2019 at Viven Hotel to newly hired employees to educate them with the theoretical and practical aspects of the standards.
The participants came from different departments of various companies under Venvi. The seminar focused on new standard based on seven quality management principles, namely context of organization, leadership, planning, support, operations, performance evaluation and improvement. These principles establish the cornerstone for total quality management culture all over the organization through the promotion of adaption of process approach such as the PDCA approach or Plan, Do, Check, Act.
The workshop incorporated more interactive, situational and real-time activities for the participants to better understand how the quality management system and different clauses benefit their departments as well as their jobs.
Enhancing internal communication; better identification of problems and effectively solving them; helping in analyzing information that lead to more appropriate decisions; human resources competencies will improve; helping in improving internal efficiency and reducing costs; and enhancing abilities to eliminate the causes of potential non conformities are the internal benefits that can contribute in making the new employees aware of the importance of the implementation of ISO 9001:2015.
